The University Conference, Reservations and Event Services office is responsible for scheduling and/or coordinating usage of all space on campus with the exception of the academic class schedule. The Reservations and Event Services office, located in the Student Union, assists student groups and departments with space reservations for on-campus events.

Our staff works with clients to determine all needs and then arranges and coordinates the necessary services required (i.e., personnel, audio visual, parking, etc.). The highest level of excellence in customer service is the number one goal of this office.

Advance Reservations Process for Students

The Reservations and Event Services office will be accepting reservation requests from registered student organizations for the next academic year, fall 2017 and spring 2018 semesters, on April 4-6 and 11-13, 2017.

Mandatory Workshops

In order to participate in the Advance Reservations Process groups must send at least one representative to one of the following mandatory workshops.

Tuesday March 28 @ 10am – Union 263

Wednesday March 29 @ 3pm – Union 263

Thursday March 30 @ 4:30pm – Union 267

Attendance at the workshops is mandatory; no exceptions will be made!  If an organization representative does not attend one of the workshops, the organization will be allowed to make requests after the formal process beginning April 14.  

Advance Reservations for Departments

On Monday, April 24, 2017, at 8:00 a.m. the Conference, Reservations and Event Services (CRES) Office will be accepting requests from departments for the 2017-18 academic year. Request must fall between Aug 15, 2017 and May 15, 2018.

Submissions will be accepted online at cres.uncc.edu/on, follow the link to the Advance Reservation Form on the left side of the page. Requests will be processed in the order in which they are received.  

Only requests for the Cone University Center and the Barnhardt Student Activities Center (SAC) will be accepted.  As a reminder, request for the SAC between Nov 1 and April 5 cannot be confirmed until the athletic schedule is in place.  In addition, requests between March 16 and April 5 cannot be confirmed until post season tournament play has been determined.

Academic space cannot be reserved until add/drop has been completed each semester.  Departments may not make any requests for the Union until Sept 15.  Room rental rates may apply to Union space in addition to standard labor and equipment rates.
